Each year for the school's project if possible I like to organise a Led Ride for the older pupils, it's the culmination of a year's Active Travel and cycling/bike related sessions and I like to show them how much fun a simple bike ride with your friends can be. This July we organised one such ride with the Yr6 pupils from Benwick Primary School in the Fens. It was a short route and it

Took in the High Street, village paths, field tracks, and a short stretch along the Whittlesey Road.

It was a glorious day, and the 14 children were riding so well that we decided to do two laps of the village with a stop at half distance for a drink and a bag of Haribo each, kindly provided by the Headteacher, Mrs. Talbot.

Then it was back along the Whittlesey Road and back into the village and school, but not before a stop at the village shop for an ice lolly! All in all a great way to wrap up the school year.
